It’s official: Burgoyne Sales has been located in Raritan Center for over 50 years! In that time, they have served the Metropolitan New York, New Jersey, eastern PA, and Delaware areas as the premier electrical manufacturer’s representative.

During their 50-year tenure here, they’ve relocated six times. Their first location was a small building which was replaced in the 1980’s with a new warehouse building. For the last 20 years, they have been at their current location, 110 McGaw Drive.
As manufacturers’ sales representatives for at least fourteen lines of industrial and commercial electrical products (e.g. Hoffman, Raychem Nuheat, Intermatic, Littelfuse, Lenox & DeWALT just to name a few), Burgoyne Sales, Inc. likes to think big, and they possess the specialized knowledge and expertise to take on jobs many comparable businesses could not. Recently retired company President Tony Ferranti stated, “We’ve always liked to control the job. To do that, we have higher-tech people that work for us, and that sets us apart. We represent major companies in the industrial-commercial market. We’re the middleman between the manufacturer and the wholesaler. But we also work directly with large-scale electrical contractors and engineering firms to help develop plans and projects, and not many of my competitors do that. Our people know the products that they sell, they know what they’re talking about, and the customers like that.”

Sadly, founder Patrick Burgoyne passed away in 2019. He asked to be remembered as a leader, ethical businessman, mentor, and friend.
Now you can find Tony’s son, Michael Ferranti, and Glenn Engemann running the company, along with a strong team. “I dare anyone to find a better inside sales staff in the industry.” Michael has been with the company for over 40 years, mostly in sales, so he’s definitely a product expert. Glenn has been with Burgoyne for over 35 years, serving as an Application Engineer, and now as President since Tony’s retirement.
What did a 1972 office look like? Well, the desks were metal, the phones were large with a red hold button. There was probably a plain analog clock on the wall, and ashtrays on the desks. Men wore ironed dress shirts under their suits. If you wanted to add a paragraph to your letter, you had to retype the whole thing. A small mistake could be corrected using a bottle of white-out. And you didn’t get a response to your mailed letter for at least a week. How far we’ve come!

Congratulations Burgoyne on surpassing such a remarkable milestone of 50 years! We at Federal Business Centers are so glad you chose us as your home and look forward to serving you for many more years. You can contact the team at 732-225-0450 or visit their website at www.burgoynesales.com.
