Racking

A racking permit must be obtained from the Township prior to the installation of any racking.  This applies to new customers, as well as any changes to racking that an existing customer might want to consider.  Typically, the racking company prepares the submission package.  Federal Business Centers will need a copy of the submission documents for our files.  Particular attention must be made to the best storage heights, aisle widths and method of storage for your specific type of products.   We also strongly recommend that racks be mounted at least 18 inches off of exterior and separation walls in order to save your company from costly wall repairs.  Please refer to our Recommended Businesses listing for a few racking companies you might want to consider.
